Right now, multinational mining giant Adani is doing everything it can to build the biggest coal mine in Australia’s history. The coal from this mine could single-handedly tip the planet above the safe limit of warming agreed on at the Paris climate talks.
But our elected leaders and big banks are not just letting Adani do this – they’re helping them.
Join us this Tuesday to find out what we can do together to Stop Adani!
What: Public screening of Stop Adani - Galilee documentary & soup night
When: Tuesday 2nd May, 6:20pm to 8pm
Where: The Croatian Wickham Sports Club, Albert Street, Wickham, NSW 2293

Our Federal Government has promised Adani $1 billion of our taxpayer funds. The Queensland Government has given Adani the power to fast-track approvals. Westpac has given Adani money in the past, but on Friday it caved to public pressure and ruled out investing in new thermal coal basins (like the Galilee).
After the screening, we will be celebrating this huge achievement and discussing what the plan is from here. By Tuesday we should have some news about who the next targets are so we can keep the pressure on until this Adani mine is stopped forever.
We are are gaining ground. Together we can #StopAdani!
Come along to the public screening of Stop Adani - Galilee documentary & soup night to get involved in this historic campaign.
We in the Hunter understand better than most just how devastating coal mining is on communities. Our friend and local coal campaigner Steve Phillips, will also speak about important coal campaigns in our own backyard, and what we can do to help closer to home.
For climate justice,
