Membership
Any person is eligible to be a supporter of Climate Action Newcastle (CAN). Any supporter is eligible to become a member subject to the approval of the Management Committee. CAN’s annual membership fees are $20 Full & $10 Concession and are due in July each year.
CAN’s membership year runs July to June.
CAN’s AGM is held on the first Wednesday of August each year.
New Members Joining
To be eligible for a committee position or vote at the AGM, your membership application must be submitted and accepted by the Management Committee, with the membership fee, no later than one (1) month prior to the AGM.
At the latest, your application should be submitted before the 1st Wednesday in June.
Existing Members Renewals
To be eligible to nominate for a committee position or vote at the AGM, you can pay your membership fee in person just prior to the commencement of the AGM or electronically received before 5pm on the day of the AGM.
You can also pay your membership by Bank Transfer. However, you will still need to complete the member form by pressing the “Join or Renew Now” button above. Simply do not follow prompts to the Humanitix Checkout.
